Preventive Care

  • Child and Adult cleanings and Exams
    • Preventative dental cleanings remove plaque, tartar, and stains. Exams allow providers to check for any cavities and/or oral health issues. The integrity of existing dental work will be evaluated, your gums will be examined, your bite alignment will be checked, and an oral cancer screening will be performed.
  • Non-surgical gum therapy / scaling and root planing
    • Periodontal infections of the gums and bone that surround and support the teeth. In its early stage, called gingivitis, the gums can become swollen and red, and they may bleed. In its more serious form, called periodontitis, the gums can pull away from the tooth, bone can be lost, and the teeth may loosen or even fall out. Periodontal disease is mostly seen in adults. Periodontal disease and tooth decay are the two biggest threats to dental health. This requires a procedure called scaling and root planning.
  • Fluoride treatment
    • A topical treatment that strengths tooth enamel and prevents tooth decay by providing vitamins and minerals.
  • Dental x-rays and imaging
    • We will take any necessary radiographs, photographs, or diagnostic casts to thoroughly evaluate your oral health. We use cutting edge digital x-ray technology. Digital x-rays are more comfortable to the patient, offer less exposure and are easier to preserve.
